Half dozen accidents in one hour reminder about effects of dropping temperatures
HUNTSVILLE – A half dozen collisions on Saturday in and around Huntsville and Lake of Bays has police reminding drivers to be extra careful as temperatures begin to drop.
Police say that on Saturday October 26 OPP, fire and ambulance crews were extra busy between 3 and 4 p.m. investigating crashes on Highway 11.
In the span of an hour six different motor vehicle collisions occured south of Huntsville.
The changing weather, police say, is another reminder to motorists how quick winter-like conditions can change the highway conditions.
This past weekend, they add, was a reminder that staying alert, slowing down and staying in control of your vehicle this time of year is key components to helping you make adjustments for safer winter driving.
Minor injuries were reported as a result of these crashes on Saturday.
