MNR flood warning issued with 50-60 cms of rain expected over next three days
PARRY SOUND-MUSKOKA - Rain warnings have prompted the Ministry of Natural Resources to advise area residents that high water levels in area rivers and lakes currently being experienced could reach flood levels in vulnerable flood-prone locations with precipitation forecasts of 50-60mm over the next three days.
The long range forecast is calling for additional rainfall accumulation of 30+mm into next week.
The Parry Sound District Ministry of Natural Resources is advising area residents to take action to protect infrastructure in flood prone areas and continue to exercise caution around water bodies and any low lying areas.
This message will be in effect until 5:00pm on Tuesday November 5, 2013 and will be updated before then should conditions change.
