Snowmobile stolen from trailer with keys in it at Deerhurst Resort

HUNTSVILLEA snowmobile parked inside a truck trailer was removed after the thief found the keys in the machine.

Police say that on December 28, 2013 at about 10 a.m. Huntsville OPP were contacted and advised that the sled had been taken from inside a snowmobile trailer.

The complainant said he had parked his truck with the trailer in the Deerhurst Resort parking lot on Deerhurst   Drive in Huntsville around 8:30 p.m. on December 27.

The trailer was not secured, and the keys had been left in the snow machine.

The machine is described as a 2008 black and orange Artic Cat, 1000cc’s.  The registration number on the machine is 7AA662.

Police say the machine was driven from the parking lot with the keys in the ignition.

Anyone with any information about this theft is asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.
