Kszee and Emerson first 2014 New Year’s babies at Muskoka’s two hospitals
MUSKOKA – The first babies of the new year at Muskoka hospitals go to first-time parents.
Kszee Yake and Emerson Wadel arrived at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s Bracebridge and Huntsville hospital sites just over eight hours apart, say MAHC hospital officials.
At the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital site, Kszee Yake was born at 11:29 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014, to first-time parents Travis and Samantha Yake of Bracebridge.
Kszee weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces and was 18 inches long.
He was delivered by Dr. Sandi Adamson and the nurses in the Family Centered Care Unit.
At the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital site, Emerson Grace Wadel arrived at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, to first-time parents Adam Wadel and Victoria Darling-Wadel of Huntsville.
Emerson babe was due January 1, 2014 and arrived at 6 pounds, 15.5 ounces and 23 inches in length.
She was delivered by Dr. Sheena Branigan and the obstetrics nurses.
