4 snowmobiles stolen in Huntsville last week

HUNTSVILLEPerfect snow conditions this year yield to having more snow machines in the area.

Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind owners to secure their machines the best they can to prevent them from being stolen.

They say that on Thursday February 6 police were advised of a snow machine that was sitting at the end of Fairyview Dr in the town of Huntsville.

The 2006 Yamaha Vector 1000 was located and found to have been taken from a residence on Winona Dr.Huntsville.

Officers found that a second machine had also been taken.

Missing is a 2006 Yamaha RX1 blue in colour with registration number 967260.

On Friday, officers were advised of a break in to a garage on West Fox Lake Road, Huntsville.

And taken from the break in were two 1999 Bombardier MXZ600, both of them yellow in colour.

Also taken from this break in was a framing nailer, M Globe air compressor, blue in colour and several hand tools.

To help keep your sleds safe, Huntsville OPP recommend putting them in a secure area, out of sight of any would be thieves, or find a way to make inoperable when not using them and remove the keys from the ignition.

Anyone with any information about these thefts is asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.
