Gravenhurst Winter Carnival Feb. 21-23 your chance to be Olympian

GRAVENHURST — Olympic fever is inspiring Canadians to get out, get moving and get involved this weekend as Sochi turns over the gun and games to Gravenhurst.

Skokie's Birthday is always a highlight of the weekend.

Skokie’s Birthday is always a highlight of the weekend.

Come out to play at Gravenhurst’s annual Winter Carnival February 21 to 23.

It’s packed with “cool” events — snowmobile radar runs, helicopter rides, bed races, the doggie dash, a demolition derby, polar bear dip, sno-yoga, and more.

There’s a ton of super fun for kids, with a magic show, donuts-on-a-string and a great Olympian hill to practice on.

There’s Skokie-the-mascot’s birthday party, family skating and tobogganing.

Yummy pancake breakfasts at the seniors centre and a chili lunch at the Presbyterian Church.

Join them for this great family tradition, and enjoy the winter season at its best.
