Windermere woman, 84, charged with failing to yield in two-vehicle accident Valentine’s Day

HUNTSVILLE – An 84-year-old Windermere driver has been charged with failing to yield after she collided with a northbound driver on Hwy. 11 at South Mary Road Valentine’s Day.

Police say that on Friday February 14, 2014 just before 4 p.m. Huntsville OPP, along with emergency services attended a two-vehicle crash on Highway #11 at South Mary Lake Rd. 

A Chev minivan driven by Erica Linger, 84, of Windermere, was attempting to cross South Mary Lake Road when she pulled out in front of a Honda driven by William Lickley, 21, of New Liskeard. 

Both were taken to hospital at Huntsville with non-life threatening injuries.

Linger has since been issued a provincial offences notice with Failing to Yield under the High Traffic Act.
