Gravenhurst man faces drug charges and uttering threat charge Wednesday

GRAVENHURST — A Gravenhurst man today faces a couple of drug charges and a more serious charge of uttering a threat.

Police say that on Wednesday March 26, 2014, search warrants were executed at a Gravenhurst residence by Ontario Provincial Police members of the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) in conjunction with Muskoka-Vice Street Crime Unit and Central Region Canine Unit.

Seized items included a Prohibited Weapon, marijuana, cocaine and Oxycodone.

Police estimate the street value of the seized items at more than $21,000.

Arrested and charged is James Downs, age 40.

He has been charged with Utter Threats, Drug Possession and Trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
