12-piece Black Family band at St. James May 10

GRAVENHURST — Looking for family entertainment?

Well, how about 10 kids and their parents?

The Black Family, a musical ensemble of a dozen members will play at St. James Anglican Church Saturday, May 10 at 7 p.m., 191 Hotchkiss St., Gravenhurst.

They play fiddle, guitar, mandolin, accordion as well as step dance.

From old-tyme fiddle tunes, to sing-along favourites from past years, The Black Family has quickly made a name for itself as a musical sensation.

They are well known across southern Ontario and have performed more than 80 shows at churches, country fairs, jamborees and theatres the past year.

And they have released two CDs and a DVD.

Tickets for this event are $15 with a portion of the proceeds going to St. James’ Accessibility Fund.
