That’s a welcome home celebration for Paralympian Graeme Murray,  of Gravenhurst, whose Canadian sledge hockey team won bronze in Russia last month at the Winter Games.

The CIBC here is proud to welcome back Murray to a community celebration on Friday morning April 4, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Murray was prominently seen in CIBC advertisements for the Games.

Join Murray, Lorraine Tait, the branch manager and John Beesley, CIBC, district vp

at the CIBC branch at 245 Manitoba St. in Bracebridge to celebrate his return.

To mark his performance in Sochi, CIBC will present Graeme with a gold-plated coin and a personalized sports pennant commemorating his participation at the Sochi Games.

Murray will also be available to speak about his experience at Sochi, his involvement with parasport and next steps in his athletic career.

CIBC is a proud banking partner of the Canadian Paralympic Team. CIBC’s four-year sponsorship of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, announced in October, broadens CIBC’s support of Canada’s up-and-coming amateur athletes and reflects the bank’s passion for sports as a way of enriching communities and inspiring the next generation of youth.
