Snowmobiles stolen, home broken into in Bracebridge

BRACEBRIDGE — The snow may be gone but a thief looking for sleds hasn’t gone into summer hibernation.

Bracebridge OPP are investigating the theft of two snow machines and a trailer from the Robert Dollar Drive here.

They say that on Thursday, April 24, between 8 p.m. and the next morning the unknown suspect(s) attended the location on the corner of Robert Dollar Drive and Eccelstone Drive. The suspect(s) located and stole a black trailer with two snow machines on board.

The two snow machines are a black 2009 Ski-Doo and a black/white 2012 Ski-Doo.

As well, police are looking into a break and enter at a residence on Hiram Street near McDonald Street, also in Bracebridge.

Again, on April 24, 2014 between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Hiram Street while the owners were away for a short period of time

 The suspect(s) searched the residence and stole $4000 worth of jewelry and money.

These investigations are ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP at (705) 645-2211 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
