Police nab suspects in Port Carling B&E Tuesday

PORT CARLING — Two B&E suspects were apprehended by police in Bracebridge this morning after a report of a break-in in progress in Port Carling.

Police say they have arrested two males in relation to the break-and-enter investigation.

They say that on June 17, at about 7:30 a.m., Bracebridge OPP responded to a call from a member of the public for a break-and-enter in progress, in the Port Carling area.

The two suspects fled the scene in their pickup truck.

Bracebridge OPP, the Emergency Response Team, and the K-9 Unit located the males in their vehicle on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge later this morning, and they were arrested without incident.

The OPP will be in the Port Carling area conducting their investigation. There is no danger to the public. The two suspects have been arrested and will be held in custody.

A portion of Bailey Street in Port Carling was temporarily closed for the investigation, but is now re-opened as of noon.
