Two more home break-ins in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE — A pair of break-ins here has police on the lookout for stolen items and thieves in the night.
They say that on Saturday June 14, they were notified of a break-and-enter at a residence on North Mary Lake Road.
Sometime between 2:30 pm on June 13 and 10 a.m. June 14 unknown culprits entered the residence and removed numerous items from the residence.
Items stolen included an iPad in a case, jewelry, coin, clothing, medication, alcohol, and two pellet guns. The pellet guns are described as being a rifle style black in colour and a hand gun style clear with a red trigger.
On Sunday, just before 9 a.m. Huntsville OPP were also called about a break-in to a residence on ShellwoodShores.
Sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. unknown culprits cut the screen on the door for the attached garage gaining access into the back office in the garage.
Once inside the culprits removed a laptop and cigarettes.
Police found that they did not gain access to the house.
Huntsville OPP is continuing to investigate this break and enter, anyone with any information is asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.
Also Sunday, June 15, 2014, just after 2 a.m. a Dodge Caravan was spotted by the Huntsville OPP driving northbound on Highway 11 “driving erratically,” they say in a release.
The vehicle was stopped near the village of Novar, Ont.
Investigation found that the driver Christopher Dales, 42, of Burk’s Falls had been drinking. He was arrested and eventually charged with Impaired Driving and Operate a Motor Vehicle having more than 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 mltrs of blood under the Criminal Code of Canada.
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on July 2, 2014 to answer to his charges.
The accused was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
