Car hits Bell building Bay Street in Gravenhurst after two-vehicle collision Saturday

GRAVENHURST - An older woman appears to have avoided much serious injury after her car was in an an accident with another vehicle and ended up crashing into the corner of the Bell building on Bay Street in Gravenhurst Saturday afternoon.

Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene at the intersection of John Street about 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses say her car was exiting John Street south into the crossing when her vehicle collided with a small black convertible sports car that spun her vehicle around and she ended up crashing into the corner of the Bell utility building.

 The woman looked to have received only minor injuries from the two airbags going off.

She was alone in the car.

The other driver, who was wearing medical scrubs, also appeared not to have suffered serious damage.

Police and continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
