Hear ye! Hear ye! 80 years of summer theatre at Op

GRAVENHURST - Town Crier Bruce Kruger announced the 80th anniversary of summer theatre at the Opera House Saturday afternoon at the start of a day of festivities marking the event.

He was joined by Mayor Paisley Donaldson and a handful of citizens who helped celebrate the milestone.

A cake-cutting and open house followed.

At 6:30 an evening ‘Soiree’ took centre stage for a sampling of this summer’s season.

A small gathering of Gravenhurstonians came out - some in period dress - to mark the Opera House's 80 years of summer theatre.
