Taboo security staff ‘save life’ of condo resident with defibrillator

GRAVENHURST — Taboo Resort management are crediting security staff for saving the life of a condo resident last week, by using one of their defibrillators.

Manager Nigel Hollidge told TODAILY that one of the residents collapsed and security were made aware as a 911 call was put in on Wednesday.

He said staff used a defibrillator on the middle-aged man, before paramedics arrived at the resort on LakeMuskoka.

Hollidge said he was “proud” of his staff and that “the training they had had worked.”

The resident was taken to hospital with what appears to be a non-life-threatening condition.
