Priscilla Presley at Collingwood Elvis Festival from July 24-26
COLLINGWOOD — Want to meet Priscilla Presley?
In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the ‘King’s’ former wife is attending the Collingwood Elvis Festival next week for three days.
Presley will be at a gala dinner Thursday night ($100 tickets still available) and she will do a public book signing Saturday afternoon downtown, said Collingwood Elvis Festival GM Rosemarie O’Brien and board chair Peter DeVries in a news release.
“I am thrilled to be here today to announce that this is the year,” said DeVries.
“Priscilla will arrive at the Festival on Thursday July 24th and will attend a number of events during the 20th anniversary celebrations” said O’Brien.
Priscilla and Ameruoso will appear at several events during their time in Collingwood. Additional details on these events will follow as the Festival approaches.

Signing Saturday are at Collingwood Library, corner of Simcoe & Ste. Marie, with the first session at 10 a.m. to noon and then again from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Shades of Elvis is a new tribute book showcasing Ameruoso’s photographs of a broad array of celebrities wearing Elvis’ iconic sunglasses. Priscilla worked closely with Ameruoso on the development of the book, and contributed the forward.
Priscilla Presley was with Elvis for over ten years and married to him from 1967 to 1973. An actress, producer, author and businesswoman, Priscilla was instrumental in turning Graceland® into a world-renowned attraction and Elvis Presley Enterprises into a highly successful entertainment, licensing and merchandising organization. As an actress, Priscilla Presley is known for her memorable roles in Dallas and The Naked Gun movies, as well as her acclaimed London stage performance in the pantomime production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Ameruoso is an acclaimed photographer well known for his work photographing stars and their pets.
The book is the brain child of Ameruoso. Back in the early 90s he could be seen daily wearing his $5 dollar replica Elvis sunglasses. Christopher is well known for his photographs of celebrities and his unique talent of creating themed shoots. Celebrities and their pets has become Mr. Ameruoso’s child.
With two successful books published of celebrities with their pets Ameruoso wanted to pursue a long time dream of honoring Elvis Presley with a tribute book. “Through my years of photographing celebrities no matter what, on just about every shoot Elvis’s name would come up” Taking note of that Christopher knew that he had to make this dream a reality. Christopher and Priscilla became friends in late 2011 after a photo shoot that Christopher did with Priscilla for his longtime running ‘Stars & Pets’ page.
