Bala restaurant break-in leads to weekend charges

BALA — Reports of an allegedly impaired man breaking into a restaurant and garage on the weekend here, has led to charges against a Burlington resident.

Police say that they arrested and charged the male with two counts of break and enter over the weekend.

They say that in the early hours of August 12, 2014, an “intoxicated male” was arrested following calls to police concerned for his safety.

A thorough investigation revealed that the male had just committed a break and enter into a restaurant in Bala.

The male stole various items and left on foot, walking to a second location where he entered into a garage taking more items with him.

Blayne Thomson, 19, has been charged with:

2 Counts of Break and Enter

2 Counts of Theft under $5000

He is appear in Bracebridge court on August 26, 2014 to answer to his charges.
