Missing wild cat found; police mum until investigation complete

TINY TOWNSHIP — A dangerous wild cat that had police issue a public warning alert has been captured.

But provincial police remain tight-lipped about the incident.

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment along with Tiny Township Animal Control say in an afternoon release Wednesday, that they have learned the African Serval Cat, from Tiny Township, is no longer missing.

The OPP would like to assure the residents of Tiny Township that there is no longer a threat to public safety.

They say their investigation is still ongoing and no further information will be released until the investigation is concluded.

The OPP would also like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.
