Historic Four Way Lodge, Royal Muskoka Island auction sale in aid of Minett Lions July 15

MINETT — You’ll want to get up early (don’t all antique collectors?) on Saturday, 10 a.m. July 15, for this giant Muskoka historical auction in aid of the Minett Lions Club.

All kinds of furniture, many from the 1904 Eatons catolgue part of sale.

It’s at the Peninsula Recreation Centre, 1131 Juddhaven Road (west of Port Carling).

This sale consists of nearly all early antique and Muskoka furnishings dating back to 1904 from the Four Way Lodge and Royal Muskoka Island on Lake Rosseau.

Records indicate that many of these items were purchased from the 1904 Eaton’s Catalog.

Some 200 pieces of furniture: from early wicker; to benches, rattan, stick furniture; porch

chairs and rockers; Muskoka chairs; beds; dressers; washstands, tables and chairs; old books; several Victorian hanging oil lamps; patterned oil lamps; floor and table electric lamps; cast iron fireplace accessories; old maps and flags; linen; miscellaneous glass and China; oars and paddles; old sleighs and toboggans; primitives and garden art items; old brass propellers; a Harley-Davidson golf cart; two Lazer sail boats; box lots, and much more.
