Stolen vehicle returned to Baysville

BAYSVILLE — Police have recovered a stolen vehicle in this village southeast of Huntsville.

Provincial police say that at 4 a.m. Tuesday January 30, their Huntsville detachment wase advised that a stolen vehicle from the Carol Street Area in Baysville had been observed in the North Bay area.

In response, OPP officers conducted patrols in the Baysville area and located the vehicle abandoned close to the area of Carol Street.

The vehicle was towed back to Huntsville Detachment where members of OPP Forensics Identification Services examined the vehicle.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP at 705-789-5551 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous. Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
