Huntsville woman faces new charges after RIDE stop

HUNTSVILLE A Huntsville woman wanted on an outstanding warrant faces new charged after a RIDE stop.

On January 19, 2018, members of the Huntsville OPP were conducting RIDE stop on Hwy # 60 in the Town of Huntsville.

Just before midnight a vehicle entered the RIDE lane as normal, the officers recognizing the passenger in the vehicle to be a female party wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Carma Patterson was arrested on the outstanding warrant.

Further investigation found that the accused had a substantial amount of cash, Schedule 1 substances believed to be Cocaine and a variety of pills believed to be Hydromorph Contin and Oxycodone.

As a result she has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking –  C.D. S. A. (Controlled Drug and Substances Act)

Possession of Schedule 1 Substance   x3  – C.D. S. A

Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00  – C.C. (Criminal Code of Canada).

Breach of Recognizance C.C.

Fail To Appear C.C.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 22, 2018 to answer to her charges.
